Hey JZ, how did you add your stealth stone fly to my Swap page? "Mayfly Life cycle swap" it wasn't there before? Did you link it to your post's?

My fly tying desk is neat but far from beautiful; it is an old beat up desk that was my sister's when she was a kid. I've added all sorts of stuff to it and I have shelves in front of me to hold bulk storage of feathers, fur and assorted other stuff. It ain't pretty but it works just fine for me.
My tying area is about 6' X 6' space tucked away in the corner of my garage where the smells and messes bother no one. A week ago I showed my 8 year old niece my space and various dead critter parts and she said that now she understood why my wife makes me tie flies in the garage.
That's funny gotta love those nieces & nephews
I know I had a tying desk 20 years ago but haven't
seen it in many years............must be under all these feathers, furs, beads, hooks, books and other stuff.
hcmiller, my setup looks a lot like yours, but i have a question for you. when i got my table top setup built i had a section for chenille put on it like the one you have at the front. mine, however, is only the dowel that holds the chenille, but not the spools. so far all i can think of to get the spools is to save my empty tippet spools, but at that rate i'm never going to get my chenille organized. do you know of some place to buy those spools? i know they come with the oasis chenille center, but i want the spools only. i'd ask the local fly shop to save some empty tippet spools, but they are an hour away and i don't go there more than four or five times a year because of that. anyone else have suggestions?
tar heel, yes hang on there called ez bobs i'll get the web page for ya...Bud
