Welcome aboard bdcanefly and welcome to FAOL as well!
Cool! That's five, so I think this is a definite go, but there is still plenty of room for more. In fact the more the merrier I say. Not sure when you would reach an upper limit for participation in a thing like this. I suppose we should have a definite cut off/start date for this thing. I'll give that some thought. Let's give it a few more days for sure.

If someone has rods but no time to refurbish, drop me a PM. I and my 2 sons would be interested and have the time, but need the rods to rebuild/refurbish.

Let's here from those fellas that were part of that big rod purchase recently. Sounds like you may have some customers. I will also try pursuing that lead that I had talked to.
Son of Martin - Welcome aboard. Would you be looking for one rod then, or three?
-
We can do three, possibly more depending on what needs to be done to them. This way we can get them into hands of folks that can use them and not just look at them in the corner.
-
I will try to make work of contacting that lead of mine in the near future (hopefully within the week). This is exciting!

I'd really love to. However, getting very strapped with time trying keep a business out of the red and working on the house to sell by early next year. Wife, two little kids and 6 hours of sleep. Wont be touching any varnish for probably 6-8 months.
Hope you guys can make it work. I'll try it in next year's go around.
Quinn.

Hey Quinn,
Thanks for the reply. We all know where you're comin from man. Life has a way of going from 0-60 in a second. Keep your chin up, and best of luck with things.

Called the fella that I referred to in an earlier post and am going to try and go out and check out what he has this weekend (probably Sunday). He claims to have a lot of American made production rods and will sell them for about $30-35 a piece. He is not a rod guy, so I'm hoping that some of these are solid rods and good deals. My fear is that he has tons of rods with broken tips or ferrules. We will see and I will keep my eye out for any candidate rods for others in the swap.

I'm the guy that put the "great 'boo buy" together, and I've still got a couple rods that are in need of repair/refurbishing. I'll try to go through them by this weekend and see what I have that would be suitable for someone. I know there's an H.I. Spinner that needs to be cleaned up (needs to be revarnished and has a bunch of gunk on the ferrules) that I'd be happy to sell. I'd love to be a paticipant in this swap, but I just don't see how I'd have the time for it right now (too busy building rods/blanks/reelseats). But again, I'll go through my pile and see what I have that would work for someone else.
Regards,
Joe Martin
