The "Group" (Category?) order should Be:
1. FAOL Community
2. Fishing
3. All about Flies
4. Equipment
5. Notices
6. Who is Using the BB?
good sequence
That's how I had it.
Doesn't really work.
The idea of categories is to get people to post in forums / areas that make sense.
By putting FAOL community at the top, the urge is too great to put EVERYTHING in there.
Putting it in the middle ..
A) shows the new/casual user other important groups are here and may be more appropriate.
B) Allows Notices to be at the top where they belong.
C) Gets you to actually look at what is available as you scroll down to Community.
The order is easy to change, but the shake up is designed to wake everyone up to see that there are actually other things that deserve a glance. Besides, the category listings will undoubtedly identify new forums that we really SHOULD have. Time will tell.
That and I like to stir the pot. Take your pick ;)
Ron,
You must have taken a marketing class or two. I used that strategy when I used to sell perishable goods.
Works for me! :D
Ron,,, check the post by Buzz on sound off,,, "I wish" cute!
very easy to read.
Thanks JCast
Under the "Fishing" group, we have Warm Water, Saltwater, Fishing Reports, Learning Experience and Paddling. As a "Cold Water" kinda guy (Salmon, Trout and Steelhead) I feel a little left out, or is that out in left field.

Don't know if this is a problem or not, but the blue-on-beige is not the easiest color scheme for me. Many of the letters look fuzzy with those colors. And I have 20/20 vision.
Other than that, I will withhold judgment until I get the feel of the new board.

"Judge not and you.... :D
Kinda funny,,, we had a guy who 'had' fuzzy letering,,, this color fixed it for him. He sent us an email thanking us.
