Cutting latex
To cut latex do the following.
Attach scotch tape to the latex, then cut the latex to size with sharp scissors . Then peel the tape off. It always helps to have a little tab of each to get started removing the tape after cutting.
Aways works for me.

Hi,
I'm kind of with kengore and Tom where one uses paper and the other uses scotch tape. Personally I like to use the sticky part of Post-It Notes stuck to both sides of the latex then use scissors to cut really fine strips out of the "sandwich arrangement" for small flies or a straight edge/rolling cutter if making strips for larger flies. I use the left over non-sticky part of the Post-It paper for mixing epoxy so I can crumple it up and throw it away when I'm done apply the goopy material. Take care & ...
