Belize! (I don't know Coz.)
Ambergris and Caye Caulker...I was 2 times there and the fishing is great! You MUST start early and the "do it for yourself" is a good option there...

A huge thanks to all for the Caye Caulker tip.
We didn't leave the cruise ship as early as I had hoped so I left the fly rod behind on purpose, so I did not fish. I did however have a great day with my wife shopping the quaint shops and downing a few Belikins at the Lazy Lizard and a couple other bar stops.
Caye Caulker was a welcome and much needed relief from our previous stop in downtown Cozumel. I'm sure there are wonderful places in and around the area but if I never set foot in downtown Cozumel again it will be too soon. I hate being "hawked" to purchase something I don't even want. After a morning of snorkeling, those shop owners ruined what would/could have been a great day. We ended the day safely tucked away in a corner of the Hard Rock putting away a couple of beers before boarding the ship.
My second time to Grand Cayman was great. We were a little more anxious than perhaps we would have normally been while swimming with the Stingrays. We took this excursion the day after Steve Erwin's fatal sting. Don't let this incredibly sad and rare fatal sting deter you from going to Stingray City. What a hoot that was to hold one of these "four to five foot wingspanned" creatures.
All in all a great cruise ... thanks again for your tips.
Fl Skibum,
Either place, be sure to practice casting in lot's of wind. Both places are notorious for the wind, right behind the middle Texas Coast.
Good luck and tight lines, Chris
