Hey Jerry,
I just have two questions for you!
What weight rod does it take to throw a Deer Hair pattern that big?
And if that's the actual size of the Deer Hair Flies being used on that river, (by the way, very realistic looking pattern) how big were the Browns you were fishing for? Hehehehehehe!!!
If the fish in that river are big enough to take that offering, I want to be a passenger in your boat the next time you go! Shotgun!!!
Don't let me forget to bring along my biggest net, I think were gonna need it. In fact, forget the net, I'll just bring the Boga Grip! Aaahahahahahahaha!!!
Cool photos and thanks for sharing.
Terry
I am so happy that you all had a good time at the fish-in in our beautiful state. Even though I wasn't there I thank Jack Hise and Mike for running the show and coming up with the idea of running a fish-in in Michigan. Dot Man those are wonderful pictures of that baby fawn. I am glad you all had fun.

Thanks Diane for posting the pics. I still don't know what I did wrong, I thought it was not using caps in the BBCode but I found that still did not work.
Seeing that fawn swimming by is something I will remember and treasure that memory always.

:D
Jerry;
"Live the Dream"! What a great welcome you had to our Michigan waters!! Thank you for sharing and thank you Diane for making it happen.
Now you may understand my signature!!
Going up to the CCC Bridge on the Manistee this Sunday to do some fishing and check out the campgrounds.
I had a grand time at this well put-together event. Being torn between the Fish-In and having folks show up that I used to fish with when I lived in Michigan kept me from participating in many of the events... even that DARN good looking (and tasting) dinner on Friday night! Instead, buying a buddy a Spikes burger got me a night float in an Ausable river boat Friday night as well as a 10 hour Saturday float. I was one tired, but happy puppy driving back to NC!
Rainbow Chaser and I had the chance to fish together on the mainstream. I like his pace and graceful style! Fishing with good company like him helps make a slow fishing day all the better! The local micro brew he shared was just icing on the cake!
I was VERY impressed with all of the work that must have taken place in the background to make this a very special event. JC rocked as the casting maestro but I suggest Eric wear tails too if he puts on another tieing demonstration! He's no 'second fiddle' when it comes to twisting thread!
Thanks Dot Man for the dots! With all the 7X I went through they sure kept things in control!
Thanks to all who shared the week. It was a real pleasure I look forward to doing again!

I have to say that I am a very sad boy because I couldn't come and enjoy the fun, but a couple of weeks ago I did get to go and enjoy some great Au Sable fishing. I only cought four fish that were no longer than my pinky finger, but my dad was with me and we got to hang out and have a blast catching even the smaller fish. I am sorry that I was late, but I have been busy doing other things. Hopefully I will see you all next year.

Hi Eric,,, sorry you missed the FI, but perhaps next year. At least you got to go now. :D
