Dots and droppers
Got my Dots a couple weeks ago, and found something out today. Being very clumsy myself, and walking thru thick willows fishing the home waters, whenever I use a dry+dropper rig I snag the #$@#*&$ dropper nymph all the time, on branches, my net, my shirt, my waders, my dawg....
The dots hold multiple loops of tippet just as well as they hold one strand. I looped my dry to dropper tippet a few times and the dot holds it in place. The dropper nymph is safe and doesn't snag while pushing thru the #$#$^& willows.
I have tried the 'loop the dropper around the reel and up to a snake guide' trick before, and always end up at just the wrong length of tippet, that still gets a loop snagged on branches while hiking thru willows. The Dots do the trick much better in opinion. If you don't know what Dots are, check FAOL's sponsor page. Little velcro thingys that hold your tippet to the reel so you don't lose the tippet.
Thumbs up for Dots from here!

Danbob,
Dots are FANTASTIC! I have told Jerry there are so many other uses for them that need to be marketed...for example, spinning reels..if you spinfish, have you ever tried getting a light mono line into one of those little "triangle" type line holders? They really can be used on any type reel.
Not only on reels either...I recently started using a Downs Chestpack (standard 3 box setup). I usually use furled leaders, and this weekend, I am going to affix 2 Dots across the front of the outside box. I will then carry pre-looped lengths of tippet wrapped around the 2 Dots. Seems to me that it should work nicely, & make my tippet readily available for fast changing.
How many other uses for Dots can we come up with folks?

danbob,
Jerry hit a homerun with the Dots. I use them on all my reels (3). No more cursing trying to find the end of the tippet or unravel a mess.

Jerry also has a rod case tag. Got to get some of those too! Keep opening the wrong case!!

Hey guys and gals,
Thanks a bunch. It does me good to know that I have come up with a product that helps solve the problem of tangled or lost tippet on your reel. Nice to see ya'll figuring out other uses for Dots too.
Paul,
Just wanted to let you know that you can call me to order if you don't care for ordering online. 610.220.9058
