By the way. If you can't make it to Pine Island as Dude suggests. You really ought to try Pine Island instead.
Check out Ding Darling park on Sanibel Island. Some walk oppertunities there. Better w/ the yak.
There is some good yak ffing, at the 1st bay just inside thr river from the Punta Rassa boat ramp at the foot of the Sanibel Causeway (on the Ft Myers side).
Decent trout wade on the inside side of the middle span of the Sanibel Causeway in Feb.
In Naples, check out Clam Pass park. It's good for a walk for back country dink snook ffing.
Check out Wiggins Pass park in the back country for some decent yak ffing in Feb.
BTW FlatsDude, I checked out Mark's pic post on his website. Seems like a nice guy, but I think he's cornered the market on dink snook.
BadSnook...I met Mark by accident a few months ago. Spoke with him on the phone...hell of a nice man and is will to suggest places to fish from the "out of town" group.
