Searching
Hopefully you can help ... I am searching for either a web based source or a book clearly showing exact shapes for the different Mayfly Dun wings. I'm not after veining ... just exact outline shapes.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you can find it. Try this "Matching the Hatch" by Ernest G Schwiebert, Jr. Copyright 1955. It has several differnt plates (pages of Mayfly wings and bodies. Another book with this info is "Trout Flies, Naturals and Imitations" by Charles M. Wetzel Copyright 1955. Hope this helps. I have both of these books.

Salmonfly,
Orvis came out with a new product most recent catalogue; wing stencils. It has mayfly wing, caddis wing & stonefly wing stencils in several hook sizes
in one package. You can duplicate the exact wing shape & size. Takes the guess work out of it all !!!!!
Tight Lines !!!!!

Hey Salmonfly,
I sent you 8 individual emails of the
requested material. 4 are copies of color
plates showing wing profiles and 4 are keyed
descriptions of the plates. Hope this helps. Warm regards, Jim
