Roving Lanyard #2
Attachment 14226
Attachment 14227
Lanyard #2, with material adjustments made as-well-as the suggested addition of the mono bin.
A short, portable lanyard designed for the belt loop while stalking pond edges and easily attaches within arms reach in a float tube or kick-boat. Tied with 20ft of continuous 550 Paracord, 4 Heavy Saltwater swivels, and a recycled Desiccant bottle.
Thanks to all for the suggestions and critique of the initial design.

Looks great. All you need is a Swiss Army knife and it would be the perfect lanyard for MacGyver. Very nice work!

I like it, I fixed something similar to hang on my belt loops when wet wading, but I haven't found a good way to carry my fly box with me. I tend to carry to many flies I suppose, but I cant get my box in my shirt pocket. Any ideas?
thanks in advance,

I have a very small one that came with a lanyard, and I swap it out with my knife on the Rover. But I also have a small magnetic/foam Morrel from LLBEAN for regular trips. You can punch a hole through it in a corner and push paracord through...then melt the end and it will not pull back through. I make a lanyard the same as the floatant bottle, then snap it to the snaplink up top. Works perfect and stays closed. Perfect for bluegill and smallish poppers, or a day trip on known water where only the basics are needed.
