Congratulations. Please make the most of those retired years as we don't know what the future will bring.
Tim (retired).
Is it wrong to be jealous? I dream of the day I can retire and the most stressful decisions of the day will be: Fly or Spinning, Acoustic or Electric. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement!
Welcome to the ranks. Great to be able to go when you want to.
Rick
I assume you've run all the numbers and reached a decision that 62 is the right age for you. If you have not, do run the numbers! The age where you start is very important.
That said, I ran the numbers and decided to start at 65. I did not anticipate some health issues that came up later and now wish I'd started earlier.
Congratulations!! Now, when you turn 62, go to a U.S. Forest Service office, National Park etc. and get your Senior Pass. It will get you into National Parks for free and gives you a substantial discount on camping fees and such! Make the most of every day!
51BC, my wife Traci has her card already, though I will get mine to use when she isn't with me. Thanks and LOOK OUT FISH!!
