Al's Hair Hopper SBS
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...n/IMG_3486.jpg
Al Troth married the body of a Henry's Fork Hopper with the wing from his Elk Hair Caddis, added some biot legs and came up with a neat little hopper (could also pass for a Yellow Sally in these colors, I guess). For whatever reason don't think it ever caught on like the HF or Letort Hopper when it came out, but it's still a cool bug. Simple to tie, floats well and fish eat it. Works especially well for me in the smaller sizes #12-16; change colors as you see fit, tan and olive have also been very effective.

Very Excellent!
What kind of deer hair did you use for the body?

Steven,
Generic bleached/dyed deer hair; don't think it's belly (too fine). I've had the stuff a long time and it's not in the original bag so I don't know for sure.

Scott
