I've figured out a few, like CDC, FEB, and PT. How about SBS? Are there any other abbreviations I should know about?

Rats! Been tying longer than I care to recall. Come to think of it, I don't. Anyway, I thought I knew most tying abbreviations and acronyms. What the heck is 'FEB' besides an abbreviation for February? I just know I'm gonna kick myself when I find out, lol.

Something else for Allan to wonder about. ;)

It used to be that coolness in tying was measured by how many bugs you knew the Latin names of, and how easily you could drop those names into a conversation. Then there was the "copy the ancients EXACTLY" phase. Now it seems to be acronyms. WTF?
I will just go fishing.
PS, for those who will read too much into this post, perhaps the joke doesn't carry without knowing me well.
I have never been cool or worried too much about it. I still think the best advice I ever heard about fly tying was from Don Barrett (I hope I got the name right) who is the godfather of north GA trout fishing. He told the group at a seminar I was attending "The idea is to make the fly look like a bug a trout eat not some other guy's fly." I usually follow direction as close as the materials on hand allow. But then I live in a state of SNAFU.
Okay. FEB = "Furled extended Body :smile:"
9DH = ?
WTF = Well, politically it has been said, "Win The Future". Dave said, "Well Tyed Fly". Many accept it to mean, "What The F***"(sounds like quack, lol).
Most recently I've been reading some military books and, to be honest, I'm abbreviated and acronymed out so I'm not going to go into any more of them related to tying and/or fly fishing.
