What kind of bug?
Ok, I'm a rookie with a fly rod. I've been fly fishing before but I just got back into it.
I'm dumb to all the fly names and bug names.
I just go out and fish and try to match the bug I see on the ground and leaves and such.
Is there part of the forum that address fly names/bug names?

Either way, I pulled out a fly that matched it ok and caught this. It ain't the biggest but I'm still happy.

that appears to be a mayfly spinner. Look here for the entomology area of this web site:

if ya had a little better pic, i could tell you exactly. from the pic it looks like a hebe spinner..sometimes mistaken for sulphur.

Hi Ammohouse,
I'm not the most knowledgable about mayflies on this board, by any wild stretch, not really even good.....but if I was to guess, I would guess that it is a callebaetis of some sort.
