Quick question:
I want to share my fishing blog and link up with those of others. I've noticed the "blogs" link on this site, but I'm not sure how useful it has been for others. Anyone have any best practices?

Had a very modest blog on this board and one day it just disappeared, with no explanation. Might not be the most reliable feature of FAOL.
I think the "Blogs" link on this website is a place for users to post a blog entry HERE...not necessarily have a link to their blog that they post elsewhere? I'm not sure about that, however...I haven't tried using the one here.
I'd like to keep track of your fly-fishing reports, so I'll be checking out your blog.
If you haven't seen mine yet, its http://www.fishndave.blogspot.com/
Love the blog, Dave. I'll keep an eye on it. They are opening Lake Wanahoo less than 40 minutes from me. Northern Pike. I have been DYING to hook into a pike on my 6w. Any recommendations on flies are appreciated. Whenever I get a chance to go, I'll probably just flow the biggest Black Ghost or Royal Coachman that I can. I lost my big weighted Clouser at a local pond last year...
Great Blog Dave!
That lake looks great! I caught a pike on a Ward Bean's Jointed Minnow. http://www.warmwaterflytyer.com/patterns3.asp?page=32 Any large colorful or flashy streamer should do. Fish for pike early in the year and late in the year, when the shallows are coolest. I'd also recommend you fish the outflow below the lake.
Thanks NJT & RH! :)
