I went fishing yesterday
Thank you J.C. for bringing up another great story from an old friend of yours.
Especially great is the line........
"It does not matter where I was fishing...the where is unimportant...the fact that I was fishing is the important part."
Well, I went to the close by River Raisin and flogged the water to a froth most of the morning and it is true, just the fact that I was outdoors, enjoying what I love most...that was the important part. Fish - 1 Jonezee - 0
Thanks again for a well written story.

Neil Travis is a very special person to us.
He was the best man at our wedding, and was JC's long-time fishing companion. He was the editor of the now-gone Angler's Journal. He recently retired as a Judge in Livingston, Montana.
You will find one of his "Streamside Companions" in his From A Journal here next week.

That is great L.F. I will look forward to the story. I also related to Neil's listening to the owl at night part...there is a little of Barn Owl here and on the darkest nights he (or she) will hoot hoot away until you'd swear their hooter would be sore and they would knock off for the night. It is always me who knocks off first.
