Carl Richards is gone.
Those who really knew Carl Richards by now are aware that he died on Memorial day. I knew Carl, fished with him, mailed him insects in a thermos bottle from Idaho, bought a piece of land by his on the Au Sable river, tied flies with him, argued with him, bought a little 35mm 'Rollie' camera because he liked his, put him up several nights on our couch during fishing season, and I watched him create flies. Carl was good at inventing things, he was unique, I liked that about him.

I'll pray that he and Al are fishing and watching over us.

JC,
Sorry to hear about the lost of your friend.
-
Thanks for the notice Jim. I've been away and had not heard. From some of the replies that include the words 'your friend',
perhaps some of the FAOL posters do not know who he was. Perhaps you should write a piece on Carl. Thanks again for posting, and as Ronn said..we have been losing a lot of the great ones .

Your right mantis. Ernie Schweibert, Andre Puyans and now Carl.

Mantis, I am not qualified.

Sorry about the loss of a respected friend. We all live for the todays and dreams of a great tomorrow, with the loss of great friends and mentors it also brings great sorrow.
Reflections of the heart and off the water, cherished moments will be by your side.
Sorry
Philip

Excuse my spelling and Gramma, I hooked mondays and Fridays so I could either hunt or fish.
