Go Dry or Go Home
A week of unseasonably warm weather finally gave me a bad case of the dry fly blues so I put down the wallpaper steamer and headed to my "home" trout stream, 50 miles away.

Wife and I are planning to do a year on the road; took a little side trip to check out a potential home on wheels. Like the company (want to avoid any Lippert frame builders), price not too bad. Got this one bookmarked.

Was hoping to find some of these on the water; he payed a visit while I was putting on the waders. Good sign; dun CDC & Elk it is:

Unfortunately, the fish didn't cooperate; saw a couple down deep but none interested in my dries or any of the naturals. Following are a few places where I did not catch fish today:

Felt good to fish back on top even if no one wanted to play. Things'll be different come March.
Regards,
Scott

Looks like a great place not to catch anything. Thats a beautiful stream even if nothing came to the net.

Really pretty little creek. Looks like a neat place to spend some time with or without a fly rod in hand. Looking forward to the pix from your next outing, maybe sparkled with some dry fly diners.

Scott,
Where were those pictures taken? I've decided to try and do a tour of the Virginia streams this year and would love some/any suggestions you might have. I've all ready started mapping out many of the ones in Areas 1 & 2 (per the VDGIF website).
