A special spinning rod

A good friend wanted to come up with a special Christmas gift for one of his boys that does not fly fish but does spin fish, so we put our heads together and came up with a special spinning rod for him. Blank is a 7' MHX. Grips use Amboyna burl ends and I decided to cover the wood ends with Threadmaster rod finish as well so the epoxy ramps and finish would make the whole grip section look like one piece and just "flow" better.

I think his boy will be very happy with his gift this year.
