Question on Reel Seat
Hi All,
House remodel job for the big boss is almost done, as well as other jobs, and I am getting back to building a rod. I looked at a reel seat I just bought, a Pacific Bay woven graphite seat, and realized that I don't know for sure how to assemble it for use. My assumption is to use 24 hour epoxy, scuff the glue joint area, and just glue it up.
I also assume that I glue up all of the pieces, including the insert up solid. Is this correct, and is there more too it than that?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Gandolf

You are right on the money just glue it. I prefer rod bond

just epoxied a PACBAY aluminum reel seat, D-3, on a boo rod. I suspect scuffing the surfaces is the key to a good bond between materials
