What weight line?
I have a very fast, tip action Gatti rod that is rated for 6 or 7 wt lines. I plan to use it in salt water targeting schoolie stripers and blues. Which of the rated (intermediate sink) lines should I use on this rod to better handle the heavier fly?
Thanks,
Don

Its always best to cast a line before buying but between the two, I would go with the 7wt.More versital and better in the wind than a 6wt.

I vote for the seven. Better wind handling capability and will turnover larger/heavier patterns.

It is my understanding duel rated rods are DT for the light number and WF for the heavy.
The confusion has kept me from buying duel rated rods....I mean what weight is it?
I do however have one duel rated rod. It is a DanCraft Sig 5 3/4....that rod does in fact throw both line weights really well wheather DT or WF
