Arkansas-Too much water!
The rains keep coming and the lakes and rivers are full. The dams are going higher but can't release because of downstream flooding that is already occuring. Greers Ferry Dam is now 7,500,000 acre feet above preferred level. To release of all this water will shut down the Little Red tailwater for most if not all of the summer. Wading will be out of the question for months.

Same thing happened here last year. Local reservoir was 20 to 40+ feet above normal pool for the entire summer. Finally got back down to normal pool by Fall. We really haven't had a lot of rain this Spring, but the reservoir is 20' high right now (so much for crappies spawning successfully again this year) just to hold back water from areas flooding to the South. If we actually get normal amounts of rain, we'll be hurting....again.
