ID This Fly
I have a caddis emerger pattern that I can't identify and havn't been able to find it anywhere. I'll try to describe it. The one I have is on a 14 hook similar to a Mustad 9671, has an extended body made from olive ultra chennile with the end burned to taper it. The extended body is secured over the top of the body/thorax with pearl flashabou spireled forward. It has a body/thorax a that looks like yellow ostrich herl palmered. It has a collar of what looks like hungarian partridge and a tuft of gray cdc and a gold bead head. Any ideas? I'd post a picture but have no camera or scanner.

Look on cabela's under caddis poopah (yes that's the correct spelling) no bead head but looks like what your describing.

It sounds like a variation of a caddis pooh-pah. I don't think the original used a cdc wing. Great pattern!

The one I have looks like a variation of the caddis poopah. I was told that the bead head version was a killer pattern for the West Branch of The Penobscot Maine when the caddis are hatching. I have a trip planned for June and plan to tie up some variations to test out. I like the concept.

Thanks Bones! I like it. I'm sure the landlocks in the West Branch will too!
