What kind of fly you using? I would like to tie some up save a lot of time if I can catch them already breaded.
lol.. Love it New.. I've been working on a "tartar" fly (the touch of lemon is giving me fits) but I think we need to talk. ;)
I developed a fly which I call "the Gorton's Fisherman" and found that the colder the water the better the fish. I usually like to ice fish for these babies. I woulk like tp brain storm and see if we can combine the Tater fly and my Gorton fly
Simple Tartar Sauce recipe;
I use Best Foods (also known as Hellman's) mayonaise. Makes about 1 pint of tartar sauce.
1 pint of mayo.
1 clove of garlic smashed and chopped fine.
1 large dill pickle chopped fine.
1/2 medium onion (yellow or Walla Walla Sweet) chopped fine.
1 pinch cayenne (small pinch)
Whisk ingredients to an equal blend.
Add dill pickle juice by the tablespoon until desired consistency.
Refrigerate and save till you can combine with "Gorton's Fly Caught Filets."
Yeah, I'm starting to slobber now.
This zombie thing is just getting out of hand. Now we have zombie fish taking flies. I hopw you stuck a fork in it and chewed it into tiny shreds and soaked it in stomach acid to render it harmless.
I use the lemon pepper version of that fly!:-D8-)
That WAS some warm water indeed! :)
BBW, I think there had been some oil nearby, too.
