Sierra Opener
How about it west coast, are you ready for it? April 29th this year, i've got two trips planned, May 4-8 and May 18-22. I never go to the opener, way to many people. But give it a week and things calm down and plenty of room. the higher lake will probably be iced over as we are still getting snow, but Crowley should be good.
Got the tube and pontoon ready and I'm definetly stoked, this year I'm getting real serious on fly fishing.
So who's going to be there this year and what have you got to say? See ya there!!!!

I have been in some serious withdrawal looking forward to the opening of the CA season. Now we have gotten rains and snows and storms and everything is in flood stage or near flood stage. It's driving me crazy ~~ not that it was that long of a journey to begin with.

The opener is no big deal. I live in Calif and I never stop fishing. There are plenty of lakes and rivers open year 'round. I always wonder why people wait for "the opener" to start fishing but thank god they do. This year "the opener" will find me somwhere in eastern Oregon fishing some isolated piece of water staying away from the onslaught of Bay Area fly fishermen.

In mid May I will be vacationing with my family around the Sonora Pass. With the rivers and streams running to fast for safe fishing, I'll spend the majority of my time at Pinecrest lake.
