Books for our Troops:
Here's a follow up on something you can do for Christmas which really is meaningful, (refer to my article this week about Door #2) This is a real group but they only organize, you send the stuff yourself *S*
Check this out: http://booksforsoldiers.com/
Merry Christmas!

LF,
As a former Troop, I can say that books were always a shared possession in the service. Good books made the rounds in every unit I spent time in. Thanks for a great suggestion.

Been doing something like that for a year now. My nephew is in Afganistan and the Guard unit here in Vermont is excellent, they do a drop ship to the guys in whatever unit they're in and it saves folks alot of money on shipping. They built a small library of books, movies, cd's at their chow hall and they're leaving it for the guys who are taking over.
Just a few more weeks and he'll be home, and it's gonna be one hell of a Christmas and New Years!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep good thoughts for all that are still there, and also the one's who will be without their loved ones this Holiday Season.

Thanks LF! I have 3 large bags of books cluttering up my back room. I will definitely be checking into this!
