Heading to Yellowstone!!
Guess I'm just excited about going. I live in Hawaii, so it's a big deal for me to get there. I was there in late June for a couple of weeks and am returning for a week on the 8th of Oct.
Sorry to bore you folks with this, it is just that I'm excited.
I expect to see mahogany duns, blue wing olives, and caddis flies. I fish the Henry's Fork of the Snake in and around the Ashton Idaho and Island Park Idaho area.
This is my favorite fishing spot. I keep going back. Just about a half hour from the Park. The Firehole may be fishable again now that the weather is cooling down there.
Anyone have suggestions for me? Anyone know a cheap place to stay there? I usually stay at Ponds Lodge in Island Park.
Thanks for letting me bore you with my musings

Byron,
I just got back from 6 days fishing lower Henry's Fork, South Fork Snake and Teton River - it was bright sunshine and temps in the 80's just about every day. Didn't see a whole lot in the way of bugs hatching - scattered mahoganies, BWOs and PMDs. Nymphs and streamers proved a lot more effective than dries, but we were wading; folks in the boats had better luck finding fish looking up. Hope you get some more more seasonable weather; think it's supposed to cool off with clouds early next week. Catch a bunch.
Regards,
Scott
