Those intermediate wraps are the same pattern as the Abby & Imbrey I refinished a couple years ago. My guess your rod is an Abby & Imbrey from an earlier period than the one I refinished.

Abbey & Imbrie was a very large retailer of fishing equipment from 1875 to 1930 when they were sold to Horrocks-Ibbotson. They never manufactured rods but sold rods under their label built by Leonard, the Pritchard Brothers, Horrocks-Ibbotson, Thomas, and Edwards. Later on Montague and Heddon were prime suppliers.
My guess at this time is your rod was either built by Montague or H-I. The sheet cork handle is something the other makers would not have used.

I've been able to confirm your rod is a Montague built around the turn of the century, 1900. The winding check and reel seat would indicate it is a shorter, light line rod.
What is the length?
