Looking ahead to another week in the Keys next winter. According to Ross my C4 reel will hold approx 150 yds of 30# backing when using a WF9F line. Does that seem adequate?

If I were you, I would switch to 20 pound backing. You could probably get almost 200 yards on the reel. After all there are not many coral outcroppings in Florida so abrasion in not much of a factor. And you will be using 9 to 16 pound tippets so you would not risk losing your whole rig, (flyline and the backing.)
Thanks Dick. I'm new to fishing down there and already have a spool with approx 200 yds of 20# backing. So I will just use that.
I would go with 20lb as well. You get more line and you will never break the backing before your leader.
