I've got several rods. The one that is considered medium speed gets mushy at about 50 feet. (7wt white river bought at Bass Pro shops) Do you think it's because of the speed of the rod or am I just used to a fast rod and my timing is off for that rod?
P.S. The rod that I like best is a 5wt Temple Fork Pro series and seems to me to be able to hold up to more load than any other of my rods.
