Greg, Where was the original information? (post)
Here's the story.. a couple years ago several people on this site were building some glass rods from a one piece 6' glass spinning rod blank. Blanks were dirt cheap - something like $13. I bought what I needed and stuck it away until last winter. I can't remember where we bought the blanks. It sticks in my mind they were a "Trout Series" blank but I can't remember the company.
Getting old wouldn't be so bad - but it's going to be danged inconvenient.
If those were the tadpole rods, look here:

These are built on Batson spinning e-glass blanks. You have to put your own ferrule into them, but they are pretty nice casting rods and they are cheap to build. I think we got them from Schneider's, and I seem to recall that he will cut them for a reasonable price to make shipping easier.
LOL!!
That's what I was thinking, too! Had I posted that , it wouldn't have been! Kewl little rods! "The Ear Piercer" is one of that series!!
The Ear Piercer is built on this blank...

It is a Baston SPG 601 blank and casts well with a DT4 line. Be careful with a 5 foot rod. It did not get it's name for nothing!

Thanks everybody. Now I remember.
