Wonderful!!!! Great looking fishies!!
Very nice, you have to love them spiders.
Looks like you had a ton 'o' fun.
Today I just wanted to get used to the timing of throwing glass. I used it after i got it and put it away for the winter and really never got comfortable with it. After about an hour today it all "clicked". It is a lot different: one ,being a 3 weight, and two being a 6'6" rod. Im telling you a small bass and a nice bream really had a bend in it! It was such a pleasure to slow things down. I think I'm going to like going "glass".
Is that a Diamondglass blank?
It is indeed! I love the feel working with them (building), and more love the feel of casting (and catching!!) with them! Very different from the fast, fast graphite! Makes you feel that you are part of the process!
Good job! *Both* of you. ;)
I love my DG. :)
mnk, you have a winner there. My prediction: in about 10 years, you'll have a rare piece of kit in that rod that will be the envy of anyone who likes slow rods.
Top-notch workmanship (workwomanship?) as well. ;)
If I had bunches of spare cash lying around, I'd be looking into a herd of DGs...adding the 2wt, the 7'6" 3wt, and 8' 5wt to the 7' 4wt that I fish (and love). :)
More pics, please! :D
Nice rod, nice fish, gotta love it dontcha?
