I was trying once again, to dye some materials. The crescent on the left is the color I was trying to match. The one I dyed is on the right. Did I nail it?

Look's Good to Me
Looks about right on to me--at least close enough. Where do you fish in Maryland? I used to fish the Savage River, but I heard they drained the dam. Is that true? I haven't been down for about 5 years.
Bruce
Hi Bruce,
It isn't unusual for the Corp of engineers to draw down the dam pretty low in the fall. Savage River is still one of the best spots in Maryland. The Casselman is also an excellent place to fish. It's located in Grantsville. It's about twenty minutes due west of Cumberland.
You nailed it! Most people don't realize how hard it is to dye something to a very specific shade you are after. Great job here.
Bob
Steve, cool, good job, what did you use for dye?
Thanks and regards,
Gandolf
Thanks folks. I considered it a stroke of luck.
Gandolph, I use Rit liquid. I originally used powder but have since gone to all liquid. I follow up by adding Alum and soaking an additional 15 minutes.
Thats looks great!
Looks good to me.
