Wow nice looking pics, I like those dark rich colors. They get like that in the fall in the moutains here on the Skyline side... I borrowed one of your pics for my desktop (if thats ok)
I had one I borrowed from MrFishingToughGuy to set off my early spring fishi'n and I'll use yours to set off my fall fishi'n... thanks again for posting those...:)

gotta love borrkies at any size ....
Q though ... the 2nd last one - is that typical for small stream brookies, or should someone be looking for browns too (kinda looks like tiger trout markings along the top) .....
darrell,

They are not only all brookies but I think I can distinguish par marks on all of those fish which means that they are all very young brook trout.

To me...brook trout are perhaps THE most beautiful freshwater fish. Nice pics! :D

Those tiger marks are typical of brook trout in my area. The par marks are too. I don't think these were young brookies, not at those sizes. I would say they were all breeding age.
Thanks for the comments guys!

I hate you now  I was in VA on the West side this summer for 8 days and had no chance whatsoever to look for those.

Gigante-
When you come back to VA give me a holler.

Those fish would be monsters in the brook across the way from my house
The largest I ever caught there was no more than 9 inches and most are under 6
