I have the older model Traditional ina an 8' 4 wt, very good rods. You should be happy with it when you get it.

I have the

Traditional II in an 8wt, and I absolutley love that rod. Its great for Bass, Carp, Catfish, anything that pulls hard, I think you'll be very happy with it and at $40 ya cant really go wrong.

My wife knows that when I buy something I have a definite reason in mind. She doesn't mind.
She sure enjoyed taking some pictures of the Grand Son learning to work a fly rod on the front lawn on Sunday... :D
