Good looking flies John. What size hooks? Small for stream and large for lakes?

That is very near to the first fly I learned to tie. Brians red butt chronomid. Mine didn't look anywhere near as nicely tied as those do. They're Great for mountain lakes in the early spring. Why does it say made in Japan in the background?
Add the Maroon and Silver midge pupa to a fly box. Transport them to water to begin process. This water will do.

Remove two Maroon and Silver midge pupas from fly box and attach to 15' 2X leader at end of WF6F fly line to be cast with Sage 9' fly rod with indicator in place.
Cast tandem of pupas into water and let sink to fishing depth.
When indicator dips, stir water with line, leader, flies and attachment for twenty five minutes.

Lift attachment from water, hug and then measure.
