I'm still getting the "Attack Site" warning when I go to Hans' site. Is it safe to click on "Ignore this warning" and go on in? I haven't seen any recent information about it. Sorry if I missed any recent updates on it.
Thanks,
Joe

A Google search of Han's website gives a warning. The warning cautions users of badware. I cannot believe that Han's would intentionally cause harm to those visiting his website. It may be that the website loads programs or files.
Here is a link that discribes badware http://www.stopbadware.org/home/badware
From "another board". Hans said someone had hacked his web site, but it had been cleared. He's now going through the process of getting the warning lifted.
I had seen that, too. Do you know if it is now safe to enter even with the warning sign still there?

Hi All;
Here's Hans' response on anther site:
The problem was resolved, or at least a solid workaround put in place, on 11 June. It is proving a tad more time consuming to get Google to review and revise.
For what it is worth, the site is safe and has been since the above date - and yes, I am sure it has adversely affected the site's traffic and has made some people a bit wary. I cannot, however, do any more at this time but to ride it out.
Cheers,
Hans W

does this work??
http://www.danica.com/flytier/index.html
it does for me! if it does for you make it a new bookmark!
Unfortunately for those of us who own/manage websites there are a ton of nasty rotten people out there who take some sort of perverse pride in messing up a perfectly wonderful site like Hans. I hope they all rot in one of the well-described biblical places. (You know, the hot ones where they don't have ice water.) Hang in there Hans, we all love you.
I used Normand's posted link to Hans' site - that worked, and so does http://www.danica.com/flytier/ Hope it does for you, too.
Tyronefly, I used the Google search bar on my desktop...typed in " http://danica.com/flytier/" ...the first listing in the search results worked, too.
BTW, Hans' site is awesome for fly tyers...imho
Normand, your midges on that site are absolutely incredible!
Neither of those links worked for me. They were both the same address I've always used. Still the warning sign.
So.....what I am trying to find out is, if Hans says it is safe, then has anybody ignored the warning sign and gone in? I trust Hans when he says it's clean and, obviously, Normand and PRM have entered and their computers are still OK (I guess!). But, I'm a chicken.
Joe
I have been visiting Han's site over the past two weeks and have not picked up any viruses or other nasty things. Han's said his site had been cleaned up and apparently he's right. I'm with LF on the placing of those nasty hacker creeps.
