Could someone tell me where I could order some medium chenille in this color? I think it is called "herring blue".
Thanks,
Tom

That is a hard color to come by ...
Here's the ebay solution - jot down the yarn brand and find it locally. I've only seen blue chenille in a fly shop ... once.

The Thick and Quick chenille from Lion is rayon so it won't rot - but it's fairly large stuff. I'm assuming the attached jig is large also, so it should work.
that is the first time i have seen blue chenille. some day I shall tell my children and grandchildren of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
thank you.
I am on the hunt! I will find stuff in blue.
ps this is what I found searching google. not exactly the same but they come in blue and they are chenille. sorry I tried.

Blue has become my favorite silver salmon fly color over the past few years. I look for and find lots of blue in local fly shops and craft stores...

I'll have to look later, if not my guy can dye some..
Thanks all for trying to help. I took a close look at the jig itself and relized that the color is somewhat different than the picture. It is a "lighter somewhat purplish blue color"
ya could allways get the white colour and then use a permanent marker to colour it... i do that when i want colours that i caint get or want a 2tone (dark top & lighter bottom...
