Thank you very much for you input. I too have thought about a prosthetic of sorts. I also believe she has given up on fishing all together. And that's OK. She has moved on to quilting, and it consumes all of her time. Even to the point of organizing a group of women from our church, making quilts, and giving them away to the orphans in Afghanistan. That was two years ago, and now she is giving them away to homeless, runaway, and battered shelters. She gets so much gratification from that, I would never try to take her from it to go fishing. I guess life is full of changes, and we either learn to accept them or we grow bitter. Perhaps one day the Lord will move me away from fishing also. Whatever he decides is fine with me. But for now, I hope I win the giveaway rod from Hook & Hackle. Thank you again.

Change is just another fact of life. If we don't change, we will indeed become bitter and old before our time. I'm thrilled your wife has quilting! The people she's making the quilts for are blessed. The Lord works in mysterious ways ... so don't count her out of fishing yet! (PS ... I found flytying will keep arthritic fingers limber!!)
