Size 14's?!?
What do you tie for bass and panfish in size 14's?
I tie a wooly buggers, mainly black. After the outting yesterday I don't think I'll need anything but the all-mighty wooly bugger. But, I need something new to tie. Panfish and bass are about all I'll be fishing for.
Thanks a lot!

Tie up some foam bodied poppers, and/or, Wooly Worms on #14 hooks!?
WarrenP's famous fly; "The Wow".. is an excellent fly when tied on a #14 hook and another he expertly ties, called "The Purple Pizazz" has been a GREAT pan fish fly for me so far, this Spring. He sent me some larger ones, than #14, but I copied them on a #14 and even a #16 and all 3, of the sizes, have been great producers.

Damsel fly and dragonfly nymphs.

Nothing! All my bluegill flies are #6, #8, #10. Keeps the little ones at bay. Smaller flies are just too much bother for the bluegills I am after. The little bluegills (< 8")will just pester you to no end.

Try a Lil` Bugger. Rabbit tail and ostrich herl body. Works best on a 3xl or 4xl hook.

Improved McGinty from Ward Bean's website!

Similar. The rabbit and ostrich make for a very active pattern. Tied white on white #10 4xl and a bead head makes for a great steelhead pattern.

Drift a bead head nymph by those bass when "they aren't feeding"...like Trout, the drift must be clean but they'll feed.
