I was playing around with some stuff last night just for a little fun. These are a few that I tied.
Mainly I was playing around with some holographic tinsel and some metalic threads and some floss.

that first fly except with lead or bead chain eyes has done well for me for crappie.
I have a wrap of lead wire around the hook shank to get it to sink a little faster.Quote:

I tested them out tonight. The fly with the white maribou tail and silver holographic tinsel body with red metalic thread head was a hot ticket on bluegill and crappie tonight. I landed over a dozen bluegill before one snapped my 6X tippet. I didn't need that light of tippet but that was what was on my leader from a tailwater trout outing last weekend.
The white woolie with the flash in the tail landed a several more before it got too dark to see what I was doing.
I'm going to tie up some more of the "tinsel" flies in various hook sized from 8 to 12 this week and see how the larger size ones work on bass and larger crappie.
Thought you guys would like to know how they worked.
