newb to this board
Hi all
Im Mike and live in north central ohio about a 1/4 mile from lake Erie. I've flyfished for 48 years and fished warm and cold freshwater and warm and cold saltwater---i fished western Pa,Ohio and Michigan's Au Sable for trout.
I try to fish Montauk, Cape Lookout, Charleston and the Keys at least once a year and ill start this year chasing schoolie stripers in the Roanoke in may.
I was encouraged to join the board by Mike and Mike and Jim,Sean and Jeremy who all met and had breakfast at Gene's Place instead of fishing Rocky River for steelies---(needed downrigger balls off the bridges to get your fly to the fish in that current!)
Hopefully i can help out a bit and learn some too
Thanks Mike

Mike,
Glad you joined... Mike helped me when I was trying to learn/improve my casting by inviting me as a guest to a casting lesson with Dick Fujita. Can't thank Mike enough for steering me in the right direction and helping me figure out alot about the mechanics of casting...great guy incredibly experienced and generous with his knowledge. Glad to have you aboard.

Hi Mike. Ohiotuber (the short, bearded Mike from Canton) called me this afternoon and mentioned that you joined the breakfast bunch today. He also said you guys had a great time while I was at our daughter's condo in Macedonia. Welcome to the board, but be prepared for a little Ohio bashing from the animal in the cheap seats (left coast lunatic). He'll join in here as soon as his meds kick in. I see that there's also some agitation from the land of potatoes and huckleberries, but we'll take care of him in our special way.

Yo! Joe!
Better grab your sword and shield. Us huckleberry slurpers are joining together. :p
Hey Mike!
You've fallen amongst an unsavory element, but it's not too late to escape. Those guys will pick your brains, and leave you a broken empty shell of your former self. Exact a price for any information you give them, and be suspect of any they give you.
Huckleberries is good, ain't they John.;)

Welcome.....
Hey Shorthaul welcome aboard from central KY.
Not to rush you or anything, but are you signed up for the MI Fish-In on the Au Sable June 29 to July 5th? There's still time and since I have never fished this river I could use some expert advice from someone that has.
