Seems like I have to put something at the tippet end to find it on my spool. It is very frustrating. Are there some tips for finding the tippet end or a method storing line?

my spools have the bands with the holes in them, i just leave the end sticking through the hole
If your spool does not have a band around it, use a pony tail holder around the spool, with the end sticking out somewhere along a side.
Fly reel Dots. They are a sponsor on here and work really well.

At a show last week, I picked up and looked at a spool of 10x
I couldn't even tell if there was any tippet on the spool
-bands that come with the tippet
-hair dooees
-rubber bands
-a slit cut in the plastic of the spool that you put the end of the tippet thru
Pony tail holders, also known as scrunchees, and I push my bobbin threader through it and pull the tippet end right through the scrunchee and then put the scrunchee around the spool.
I'll Second the Fly Reel Dots!
I second having the "le strap" thing on the spools with a hole in them. They come standard on all the Rio Tippets, I believe.
