One thing to consider on SINKING LINES, is there is the DENSITY COMPENSATED, which means they sink uniformly, NO BELLY. Then there is WET CELL which will form a belly, great for weedy waters and really good on rivers.
I am a firm believer in weighted lines, but personally I prefer the TYPE II if I only had one choice. Intermediate is great at ice off on stillwaters, when the fish are moving in, but Typt II is great all year. I also have a TYPE VII for the real deep fast action to get past the little guys to the big. I LOVE SINKING LINES. And if I can cast them with a Glass rod, anyone can cast them.
