Re: Spouse said:
Well first off.............
How long do you have?
How much do you plan on spending?
How far away from home do you want to go?
How many children involved?
What ages?
What does your bide like to do on a vacation?
What mutual interests do you, two, share if any?
And, that's just for starters!
Good luck!

Head to the Boston area. Millions of things for a family/spouse to do, and enough warm and cold water, not to mention salt, for some incredible fishing. From Cape to Cape and environs in between. Wouldn't have thought this, but was on an advisory board for three years that got me to Boston/Cambridge 3-4 times a year, and a dear friend married a fishing fanatic who did just that, from smallies in the Merrimac to bass and bluegill on Cape Cod ponds and at some beautiful little lakes nestled in the wooded hills near Ipwich, fishing the Capes for stripers, and on and on. Trout can be found in MA, Maine and other nearby areas. As an outsider I'd never considered it to be such a fishing mecca. It's there if you look for it. JGW

Re: Spouse said:
Consider Branson, MO if you're over 30. Talk to NIght Angler about fishing. Lots of shows, no teenage drunks, lots of family and kid entertanment etc.

Re: Spouse said:
Take a vacation with your spouse without fishing. This will give you points when you want to take a fishing trip without her.
She gets a vacation with you. You get a vacation with fish. Best of both worlds. Thats what I do anyway. 8)

Re: Spouse said:
Spinner,
Since you didn't set any parameters, I wouldn't even pretend to suggest a spot. BUT then again I hear Peoria is beautiful this time of year. :)

Re: Spouse said:
Well,
My Spouse said to me :We're going to Arkansas.
Do you want to go to the North fork of the white river or the Little Red?
Or do you want to go to both?
Darn but I hate it when she complicates my life like that :( .
p.s I have also heard that Peoria is pleasant at this time of year. :)
