646 pound catfish!
This thing is huge...all I can say is holy crap.

Too bad the fish died but I imagine you really have to tire out a fish that size to land it. At least it didn't go to waste.

Yes it is bad it died, the Mekong giant catfish was listed as critically endangered in 2003.

Saw the picture too. If you read through it you saw that they caught it in a net and not on any kind of hook and tackle...Heck, you'd never tire that thing out enough to land it (beach it) if you did!
