The colour scheme is a match for the 'Cat's Whisker', a fly introduced in the 70s in England.
It uses white marabou for the tail and wing, the body is chartreuse chenille and bead chain eyes.
It is one of the most successful lures (streamers) on the Rainbow stocked waters.
There have been many variations since. It was called the 'Cat's Whisker' because the inventor used whiskers from his white cat to prevent the wing from wrapping itself around the hook. I don't know what the cat thought about that :lol: . Sometimes a couple of pieces of nylon are used, but most don't bother.
Here is a picture, not my work. The body in this picture looks like Yellow rather than fluo Chartreuse.
Chartreuse is the best known version and it is dressed on quite small wet fly hooks (10, 12, 14) as well as streamer hooks. The bead chain eyes are often substituted by beads (metal or glass) or lead wire under the thorax.
