What Kind of Reel Do I Need?

I bought a refinished vintage 9' 3/1 bamboo rod from a reputiable shop. None of the sections are the same length but looks and performs great. The reel seat is the problem, none of my newer reels seem to fit properly if at all. It seems to need a very thin reel foot probably made of stamped metal. What should I be looking for.

Greg, A) Get an older but servicable reel, then grind down the feet. B) Go to the hardware store and get a couple of rubber O rings that will fit on reel seat. One in front one in back. Myself I prefer the O rings. Should be other ideas floating in.
