The Grannom Caddis hatch is the true Kick-Off-Hatch of the season. This blizzard hatch, once witnessed, will never be forgotten. As soon as the sun begins to warm the water in the early days of April, this hatch will begin with thousands upon thousands of caddis emerging. The slashing rises of trout all around you will keep your heart racing for hours. With each cast you will have the chance to latch onto a fish of a lifetime!

We fish a tandem rig with a CDC Caddis on top and a Peacock & Furnace Soft Hackle underneath. The Peeking Caddis pattern is fished prior to the hatch and after the activity has slowed down a bit. The Grannom hatch is not nearly as well known as many of our other hatches, but is the "secret favorite" of many of our locals.
