Fenglass 605- Rebuild
Just finished this 2nd rebuild of my beloved fenglass 605. This is my main bluegill/ samll bass rod and it's a gem.
PAcBay A5 w/ rosewood seat; bamboo burl butt cap finished with 3 coats of varnish; Fenwick style half wells grip; NS wind check; single foot stripper and fly guides; gudebrod gold, gold metallic and dark brown trim; 2 coats of permagloss followed by 1 coat of flext coat lite. I had previously steel wooled the blank to make it matte and it looks great after coat of pledge furniture polish.
I fish this witha WF4F MAstery Headstart line and it just sings with that line. Absolutely effortless casts upto 45'.

Having rebuilt 8 bamboo rods, I recently discovered how gorgeous the glass rods are (after viewing DLeo's project glass rods). Well, your work is wonderful. Unfortunately, it looks much too nice for you to fish it. I however, do not have any personal attachments to this Fenglass and could fish it for you. PM me so I can give you my address to send it. What do you think about me puting on a Medalist reel?
Great job.

I have to love those old Fenwicks. I have a couple myself. Your rod is a feast for the eyes. THank you.
